Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua Released from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was involved in a car accident near Lagos on December 29th, a tragic incident that resulted in the deaths of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two close friends.”
