Tributes Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of celebrated filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to share openly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has passed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began passing more hours together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the film, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Values that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Fellow Artist

In a different piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a expert at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A court order placed a security hold on the files to limit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of murder, with a record listing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public figures shared divergent comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing divisive claims that were widely condemned by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his voice to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his podcast, Rogan described the comments as "disturbing" and remarked they demonstrated a concerning lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
