Miami scored 86 opening half points versus the Memphis Grizzlies
Miami Heat claimed a crushing 146-114 win over the Grizzlies in their first NBA match after guard Terry Rozier was arrested over alleged illegal sports betting.
Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups was also detained as part of a sweeping FBI investigation into sports betting. The two individuals deny the allegations.
However, the Miami team were not distracted as they scored 86 first-half points to be ahead of Memphis by thirty-nine at halftime, the largest halftime lead in the team's 37-year existence.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver 'Disturbed' by Recent Events
Speaking about the arrests for the first time, NBA commissioner Silver stated he was "deeply disturbed" by the events of the past few days.
"There's nothing more important to the NBA and supporters than the integrity of the game," he told a broadcaster. "Therefore I had a pit in my stomach. It was disturbing."
The commissioner further mentioned an league probe into the player's actions in spring 2023, when there was "unusual wagering" in a match he played for the Hornets versus the New Orleans Pelicans, found nothing untoward.
"It was brought to our attention by the regulators and the betting companies," he continued.
"We investigated the matter and were open regarding it. Although there was that aberrational betting, we, frankly, found no evidence.
"The federal government has subpoena power... [it] can impose penalties, can do all kinds of things that the league office is unable to.
"Therefore, we've been working with them since then. Naturally, what they announced recently was an indictment.
"And 30 months after, he has not been found guilty of anything, in fairness to Terry.
"Obviously, it doesn't look good, but he's been suspended, and so it is a balance in this case between upholding rights and conducting an inquiry."
