Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
